If you (or your kids) are familiar with Nick Jr.’s Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! you (or they) may be delighted to learn that the show has come to DVD. Aimed at young kids, the show features Wubbzy and his friends Widget and Walden. Together they play games, explore mysteries, and uncover life lessons, all in a beautifully colored and oddly shaped world.
The DVD features 6 episodes of the show, plus 2 bonus episodes. Each episode presents a fun story with a built-in life lesson. Some of the lessons focus on self-esteem, while others are morality tales:
“A Tale of Tails” – Wubbzy starts to feel self-conscious about his “kooky” tail, until he finds that it’s his tail that makes him special.
“Special Delivery” – Wubbzy is unable to resist the temptation to open a package that was left for Walden. Mayhem ensues, along with an easy-going lesson about patience and respect.
“Widget’s Wild Ride” – Wubbzy is taking part in a race, and Widget gets a little crazy trying to fit the racecar with extra features. This one is light, fun tale about what’s really important.
“Attack of the 50-foot Fleegle” – It seems to Wubbzy that he’s the only one in town without a pet, so he decides to get one, too. When he neglects to find out the right way to take care of his pet, it means trouble for him and for the whole town. A lesson about responsibility ties up the story.
“Come Spy With Me” – Wubbzy and Widget are curious; Walden seems to be up to something. They decide to spy on their friend, with mixed results.
“Wubbzy Tells a Whopper” – Wubbzy breaks a house rule, resulting in the destruction of Widget’s Sandy-sander. To keep himself out of trouble, he tells a fib – which quickly grows into a monster of a tale. This story has a great lesson about telling the truth.

Bonus episodes:
“Mt. Fizzy-Pop” – Wubbzy, Widget, and Walden have to use their smarts and their ingenuity to save the town from the erupting Mt. Fizzy-Pop.
“Puddle Muddle” – It’s Picture Day, but Wubbzy just can’t seem to keep his clothes clean.
The DVD also comes with a game that can be played on the computer, printable activities, birthday invitations, and coloring pages.
Having no kids of my own, I took the DVD to my neighbor’s house and watched it with her and her 3-year-old daughter. Expecting to be bored for the next 90 minutes (I’m not in the habit of watching kid’s shows), I was delightfully surprised to find that Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! was full of genuinely humorous moments and imaginative animation. My neighbor, being a mother, was pleased with the pacing of the stories, as well as the lessons being taught in each one. Her daughter was captivated by the show, and enjoyed watching it all the way through in one sitting.

Wobzbzy is just so cute. My son and I love it. I also like the message behind each episodes too. Ones like “Be yourself.” Like the songs to go with each messsages too.

We love Wubbzy here! I love the life lessons. We usually watch the episodes together and apply it to something that’s happened in real life.

My son who is 11 and has some disabilities loves this show, He watches it from the time he gets home from school until bed. He can watch this non stop. Its a great show and Im glad its something he enjoys because there isnt much he cares to watch. I would love to win one of these to put in his stocking from Santa!!

This is an AWESOME DVD!! My son is a huge Wubbzy fan. We rented this from the video store. It’s all he wanted to watch for the five days we had it. He ran around for a week saying Wow Wow! and every toy he pulled out of the toy box was “the so and so 3000″ like Widget’s inventions. It’s got tons of episodes. I’d love to win a copy of this for my boy.

This DVD sounds like a great series. I am un-familiar with this show (I am a penny pincher and do not have cable or satellite YET!). I love the lessons the shows are teaching our children and what good cartoon is without catchy songs. I know my two year old daughter will love this and she loves to sing.

Wow Wow Wubzy is THE show in my home right now. My husband and I often get it stuck in our heads when we are trying to go to sleep (Wow Wow Wubzy…..Wubzy Wubzy WOW WOW!).
This show is really great….teaches nice lessons, has music that my girls adore and is right on their level (they are toddlers). They would go NUTS over this DVD set.
