As a mom, I know that one of the best things about the Holidays is being able to give to our children. While we don’t want to forget the reason for the season, the season is about giving — and moms love to give to our children!
But when money is tight, sometimes we need to cut back. Kids come first — but we at TotallyHer want to make sure that two lucky moms get a little extra surprise in their stocking this year! Now, we know from one of the moms around here that there’s a few things we just can’t deliver. If we could give you a full nights’ sleep, a dog that walks itself, or a family that knows how to pick up after themselves, we’d be bottling it and selling it!
But since we can’t, how about a $100 gift card to spend just on yourself?
What would you buy? A new pair of boots? Go crazy on iTunes? A cleaning service?! Or if you need some ideas, here’s what the TotallyHer moms want for Christmas this year.
Whatever it is that you want for Christmas or the holidays, we want to know what it is — and we want to give it to two of you!

With $100, HMMMM… Well, I think I’d go shopping and get myself a new cashmere sweater. I have the same two that I wear all the time and I could use another.
December 9th, 2008 at 4:22 pm
I would treat myself to a massage. As a freelance writer I am hunched over the laptop all day long. And when that ends, I have a 3 year old to lift – all 37 pounds of him. My muscles hate me! And did I mention I’ve been walking every morning?? Please let me be pampered. Thanks!
December 9th, 2008 at 4:22 pm
Hummm….$100…..I’m thinking I would go and get my HAIR DONE! With 5 kiddos i have no time to go sit and take care of myself and not to mention it costs a fortune to get a cut & color nowadays. I tried to be good and for the first time went to a one of those cheep drive by haircut places on the corner!!! Oh-my-gosh! it’s been 4 months and my hair is still in a pony tail! Awful! And they didn’t even give me my $15 back! huh! Some people…so i need $100 to get myself purty again! ♥
December 9th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
What would I get if I won $100? Some new towels, nice bath soaking salts, a good book, and new jammies.
Then I would need hubby and child to leave me alone one night to enjoy it! LOL
December 9th, 2008 at 4:34 pm

December 9th, 2008 at 6:07 pm
I would get some bras; after nursing two kids I don’t have any that fit!
December 9th, 2008 at 6:07 pm
I would definitely buy myself some clothing…I have done without for so long that the other day I was registering for college and my pants split from top to bottom of my butt…luckily i had on a hoodie to cover it up but i was so embarrased because my clothing is the same clothing I wore in 9th grade in high school…I’m 26 now…alittle bigger…pants and shirts are alittle tight but I do without so my kids can have what they need. Although my clothing consists of 3 shirts and 1 pair of pants (now) and hardly any undies left and 1 bra…all the rest has fallen apart over the years…So I would love to win this for me some new clothing…
December 9th, 2008 at 6:09 pm
OH gosh, I never have money to spend on myself! I would have to definitely buy some new duds
December 9th, 2008 at 6:14 pm
I would use it for new boots and a pair of jeans!
December 9th, 2008 at 6:16 pm
Ony for me?! I’d either have a spa treatment or try to score something nuts & frivolous, like a pair of size 7.5 Christian Louboutins, on eBay!
December 9th, 2008 at 6:16 pm
I would love to buy some warm clothes that actually fit! I’ve been spending all my money on the baby and completely forgot about the fact that I need a sweater and some pairs of pants
December 9th, 2008 at 6:17 pm
I would love to say that I would spend it on a cleaning service or a massage. But, what I really want for Christmas this year is the Wii Fit. My son has a Wii and I have been drooling over the Jillian Michaels game.
December 9th, 2008 at 6:23 pm
What would I get if I won $100?
Oh my gosh I dont think I have had 100 dollars to myself since my son was born 11 years ago and now almost 4 kidlets later. I would definitly buy some clothes from goodwill so I could buy alot to wear or hit a clearence rack at target.
December 9th, 2008 at 6:25 pm
I would buy the Wii Fit and lose some baby weight!
December 9th, 2008 at 6:26 pm
Gosh! There are so many things I need right now. I just got over colorectal cancer, and it’s been a long time since I bought anything for myself. I guess I would probably buy myself a new printer, so I could finish a book I’ve been writing while recuperating.
December 9th, 2008 at 6:26 pm
I would buy a pair of black Mary Jane heels for as cheap as I could find, then I would spend the rest on a pair of black pants – I have lost 20 pounds since August and it is expensive to rebuild my basics wardrobe so I’ve been wearing a lot of baggy things!
December 9th, 2008 at 6:34 pm
I would get some mama cloth. I don’t have any yet, and am still waiting on my ppaf, but when it arrives, I’d like to be prepared. My dh is getting me some nice Christmas presents, but I’m always reluctant to buy for myself, so that is what I would like to have.
December 9th, 2008 at 6:35 pm
After having our third child at the beginning of this fall, I’m finding most of my clothing is either too small or worn out. I need to buy a few clothing basics for ME for once. (:
December 9th, 2008 at 6:36 pm
Definately skin care products, because if my skin looks good I notice I have a brighter outlook on life.
December 9th, 2008 at 6:36 pm
I would buy myself a Wii Fit. It would pay for most of it anyways! I am 67 and I love my Wii and look forward to the Wii Fit!
December 9th, 2008 at 6:36 pm
just me, I would go get a haircut, and get some new bedsheets/pillows for the bed-
December 9th, 2008 at 6:37 pm
I always buy for hubby and kids, not sure what I would buy for me. I think some new perfume and a few tops and pants would be nice. Maybe some shoes too.
December 9th, 2008 at 6:38 pm
Hmm.. since I have a 4 week old and would never spend this on myself, I would definitely say a day at the spa!!! Ahhh that would be nice
December 9th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
Just for me? Probably new clothes. Especially a bra. I have no more that fit. Thanks kids.
December 9th, 2008 at 6:40 pm
I would probably buy some new clothes. I have lost a lot of weight over the last year, and still wearing a lot of the same clothes. Its been expensive to buy new clothes every time I go down a size so I try to wait it out as long as possible.
December 9th, 2008 at 6:40 pm
Well, since our car just died, and I mean died…we need a new car like tomorrow. I know $100 won’t buy one, but it’ll make me feel better!
December 9th, 2008 at 6:41 pm
I would get a couple new pairs of jeans because all of mine right now have patches! I’d also buy some heirloom seeds.
December 9th, 2008 at 6:43 pm
a couple of video games and the rest I would spend on toys and things for my new kitten
December 9th, 2008 at 6:43 pm
I would buy some clothes. Now at 5 months post partum, the pants I bought at 3 months post partum are all too big! Nice problem to have, but not so nice when your jeans are almost falling off.
December 9th, 2008 at 6:43 pm
I would buy art supplies!!!
December 9th, 2008 at 6:43 pm
I’d be boring and put it into savings or investments. I want to cut back to part-time some day, and that money would help me do this about 1.5 days sooner – maybe more if I invest it well!
December 9th, 2008 at 6:47 pm
I would buy long over due clothes for me! I have 2 children that I sew for as well as sew for others to pay for food and mortgage. I never buy anything for myself!
December 9th, 2008 at 6:49 pm
I would buy myself some new clothes cause xmas isnt the only time I buy for the kids and I go with out. You know..they have all new clothes and I have the same ones from 3 years ago LOL.

Thanks for the great contests.
December 9th, 2008 at 6:52 pm
I would go and get a haircut! My hair is so long right now and I always find an excuse not to get it done!

I would get my hair cut and styled, Go to Walmart and Go Wild and Crazy!!! Just for me!!!
December 9th, 2008 at 7:00 pm
I would buy some new towels. Really could use these and I really want something new.
December 9th, 2008 at 7:02 pm
$100 Just for me? Let’s see. I am a single mom of two small children. Since I don’t work outside the home and I have my children all the time, I would hire a babysitter and go out for a quiet dinner and maybe a trip to the mall, to get all the things that I have forfeited so my daughters could have what they need.
December 9th, 2008 at 7:02 pm
I would love some new clothes or possibly a great hairdo…humm, I am not sure but I would LOVE spending every penny on myself with absolutely NO guilt
Thanks for letting me dream for a minute or two…
December 9th, 2008 at 7:04 pm
If I won a 100 bucks I would go crazy at the thrift store. I like buying used furniture to revamp and give to someone who could use them.
December 9th, 2008 at 7:08 pm
new clothes. just had a baby in september and nothing is fitting now. maternity clothes are too big and pre pregnancy clothes are still a bit tight
December 9th, 2008 at 7:09 pm
If I had 100 dollars to spend just on myself I would get myself a haircut. I haven’t been able to afford one since Jan of last year. Then I would spend the rest on yarn. I knit and crochet to keep myself sane. So that would be a real treat for me. Some yarn to make something lovely just for me.
December 9th, 2008 at 7:10 pm
If I had 100 dollars to spend, I’d go and get a massage! Then, if there were any left over I’d go and enjoy a nice cup of coffee…yum! What a great way to relax!!!
December 9th, 2008 at 7:12 pm
a massage!
December 9th, 2008 at 7:14 pm

December 9th, 2008 at 7:15 pm
I would get my hair done and take my husband to lunch.
December 9th, 2008 at 7:15 pm
I would get a pair of wedge boots I’ve been eyeing and a scoop neck sweater from American Eagle. Merry Christmas to all!
December 9th, 2008 at 7:20 pm
If I had $100 to spend on myself, I would get a super-nice pair of jeans that actually fit and a haircut! Oh man, it would be AWESOME!
December 9th, 2008 at 7:22 pm
What a lovely gift that would be! I would spend the money at the nearby organic coffee cafe where I like to spend time writing away from my other worldly distractions!)
Thanks so much for the opportunity!
December 9th, 2008 at 7:23 pm
I would buy a new coat. Mine is definitely needing to be replaced.

December 9th, 2008 at 7:39 pm
I would love $100 to put toward groceries or utility bill.
December 9th, 2008 at 7:44 pm
Goodness. $100 all on myself? I’d have a hard time finding something to buy. Books, maybe? Some cute new clothes? Realistically, I’d probably put it into the “my oven isn’t working and I need a new one” fund. Thanks for the chance!
December 9th, 2008 at 7:45 pm
I would take myself to the nearest spa and treat myself to a day! With all the stress in my life right now I could really use a whole day of just relaxing.
December 9th, 2008 at 7:47 pm
I think I’d get a box of Trader Joe’s truffles and a massage
December 9th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
With a $100 bonus I think I would pick one of two things, a nice work coat for this dreadful winter weather, or getting some new dress pants that aren’t falling off (yes, that is a great problem to have, but difficult when finances are tight instead!) 2 years after my son was born, and I have spent nearly nothing on myself. I don’t know if I know how to anymore! But I would sure figure something out.
December 9th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
I’ve blogged it … http://peterpansfrugalmusings.blogspot.com/2008/12/holiday-gifts-for-mom-from-totallyher.html
December 9th, 2008 at 7:50 pm
I’d buy my mama an afternoon at the spa, lord knows she deserves it.
December 9th, 2008 at 7:51 pm
A facial, which I desperately need!
December 9th, 2008 at 7:54 pm
Ahhh..it would be really hard to spend money and not get things for the kids. What do I really need? A good pair of tennis shoes for walking (chasing) the kids all around and for at work at the hospital. What do I want? A photoprinter.
December 9th, 2008 at 7:57 pm
Oh if i had $100 to spend i would go to the spa and get an 80 minute anti-aging facial by Melanie and get my hair done. I work at the spa and never get to use the services even though i get a hefty discount on them, so the money would go a long way.
December 9th, 2008 at 7:57 pm
$100 to spend on myself: Lets see.. I would love to get some tops for winter but something that can be worn in summer too.
I need shoes badly.
And some hair products.
It’s hard for me to think of what to get for me.
December 9th, 2008 at 7:58 pm

I’d buy myself some new underclothes like bras, panties, socks. Sadly, that is the part of my wardrobe that gets neglected the most, especially during the winter time for some reason.
December 9th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
Tickets to see Britney Spears in March here in Dallas!!!!!
December 9th, 2008 at 8:04 pm

December 9th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
I’m trying to update my mommy wardrobe to something more modern and upbeat, but dh is a teacher and I’m a SAHM. Obviously, wardrobe updating rarely makes the budget. So, ladies, I’d spend it on clothes starting with a new pair of jeans!
December 9th, 2008 at 8:14 pm
I enjoy perfume/cologne very much. I wear it every day because I feel naked without it! I would purchase my favorite perfume and lotion. Many thanks for the chance to win a fabulous prize. Cindi

December 9th, 2008 at 8:33 pm
Massage then scrapbook for the rest of the day!
December 9th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
I would put the money towards buying a new sofa. I have been wanting a new one for a long time and my family is sick of hearing me complain about it, but it is practically falling apart because it is so old and worn out!
December 9th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
Retweeted and tweeted!!
December 9th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
i’m embarrassed to say that i really need some new undies. i could also use a couple new glamourmoms. if i bought something i want it would be a new pan to cook eggs, pancakes and grilled cheese cuz mine just isn’t cutting for those kinds of foods, like a griddle. a new purse would be nice too. anyway, thanks for the chance!
December 9th, 2008 at 8:42 pm
I was going through something that I can’t explain six years ago. I dyed my blonde hair burgandy. Since I am really pale, it looks good on me. Friends have urged me to go back to blonde. I think it is time. The transformation will be costly so $100 would help me to accomplish this. It would really make me and my friends happy. I have a beautiful blonde Grand-daughter and I would like her to know why she is blonde. She is a chip off of the old block. Merry Christmas!

If I won, I would buy organization stuff. Our house is sooo small, and our family is getting bigger all the time *smile*. It is getting cluttered, plus I’m an occasional scrapbooker, and huge coupon clipper, so organization is crucial! I would also buy some much-needed clothes. I generally don’t buy clothes for myself, but could use some that aren’t all laundry-stretched, faded, out of date…etc Thank you so much for the opportunity!

Every day, I would go to see her. She passed away in Aug. I just never had the time or money to spend on a hair cut. Recently with the holidays, I haven’t had the time or money either. I would love to treat myself to a real good professional hair cut. Thanks!

Everyone here deserves that $100, but for me besides doing the obvious and paying toward bills, if I had to spend it on myself I would love to get contacts. I used to have them and have been wearing glasses for the past nine years since my youngest was born. I know my perscription has changed ad I am way overdue for an eye appointmet.
December 9th, 2008 at 11:46 pm
I’d buy a new christmas tree. We just got ours 2 weeks ago and it is already dried up and falling apart. Then I’d go buy my kids socks since my dryer ate all of them. I would spend the rest of the money on paper. Yes, paper. My husband needs a manual that will tell him how to start the dishwasher since he only knows how to load it.
December 9th, 2008 at 11:56 pm

I’ve only got about four shirts and three pairs of pants, and I have trouble fitting into my pants after giving birth in October. I’d love to get a few pairs of pants that actually fit and a couple of shirts. My husband doesn’t want to go anywhere fancy with me because the only shoes I have are hiking boots, so I’d love to get a decent pair of shoes that I can wear with nice clothes. I’ve only got one pair of PJ’s so I’d love another pair. I also need new glasses and we can’t afford what the insurance won’t cover on glasses. Maybe that is all over $100 but if I had to spend the money on myself that’s what I’d get.
December 10th, 2008 at 1:46 am
