"Seeing someone who is comfortable with what they are wearing will automatically allow you to rock whatever ensemble you put together."

Bermuda shorts are  a hot look for summer, but how can you pull them off? While they are a casual wardrobe staple when the weather heats up, that doesn’t mean these versatile shorts can’t be dressed up a little for evening… if you do it right.

Cute and Casual

Bermuda shorts are a tricky fashion trend, but they aren’t as difficult to pull off as you might think. For a relaxed day at the park or just running around town, pair your Bermudas with cute and comfortable basics. Tanks and tees in fun, bright colors with flip flops or jeweled gladiator sandals are the perfect complement to trendy Bermuda shorts.

For a slightly more upscale-casual look, but still comfortable, don a pair of wedges or espadrilles. You’ll be cute and comfortable, and look completely ready for whatever summer has to offer you.

If you plan on hanging out poolside or lounging away at the beach, you can easily pair Bermudas with a cute tankini or other bathing suit and flip flops for a relaxed look that doesn’t seem like you’re trying too hard.

For an ultra stylish look that’s still casual enough to wear while running errands around town, throw on a tunic top or short dress and sling a belt around the waist. The key with this look is to avoid sundresses or anything too dressy; you’re going for the casual daytime look, so anything that looks like it should be reserved for an evening out won’t fly with this daytime summer look.

Stylish Evenings

Believe it or not, you can wear Bermuda shorts for an evening out. There are many people who will tell you heels with Bermudas is a no-no, but that is certainly not the case. With the right kind of heels, even this casual wardrobe staple can be transformed into a trendy evening outfit.

Try pairing your Bermudas with a pair of peep toe heels. Not only will you look super sexy, but the shoes will lend your entire outfit a retro vibe, especially if you don a lacy camisole with a cute vintage-inspired cardigan. A swipe of red lipstick and two coats of black mascara and you’ll be good to go wherever the night takes you!

Of course, part of what makes Bermudas work is your ability to find what you like to wear and rock it, no matter what “fashion rules” you may break along the way.

If you are confident that you look good, others will see you that way as well because your confidence projects onto them. Seeing someone who is comfortable with what they are wearing will automatically allow you to rock whatever ensemble you put together.

So why not try a little something different this summer? Throw on a pair of trendy Bermuda shorts and take your look from night to day in a snap. Don’t be surprised when they become a fashion staple in your wardrobe!
