If you have kids who love to read (or if you’re trying to teach them the joys of reading) then check out this new release from Scholastic: Max Spaniel: Dinosaur Hunt!
Max is a great hunter, but he’s not hunting anything ordinary — he’s hunting dinosaurs! Max goes on an outdoor adventure (without ever leaving the back yard) to track his elusive prey. Author and illustrator David Catrow, who has also illustrated the books Doggone Dogs and I Ain’t Gonna Paint No More, brings to life a rousing children’s story of adventure and imagination.
One of the great things about this book, besides the terrific artwork, is that it encourages kids to go outside, explore their surroundings, and use their imaginations. That’s certainly something our kids could be encouraged to do more of!
This is a great book for parents to read along with their child, or for kids who aren’t quite ready for chapter books.
