Epson Artisan 800
Printers can be a frustrating part of any computer user’s experience. That’s the case for me anyway, and for at least one other person out there (the printer-bashing scene from Office Space springs to mind). So when a company starts bragging about how awesome its latest, new-fangled, every-function-you-need-from-the-box-next-to-your-computer printer is, I can’t help but be skeptical.
This time, however, the product may actually live up to the hype. Let me explain:
Epson has come out with a new line of all-in-ones (as they call them): the Artisan Series. So far there are two models in the series: the 700 and the 800. The 800 is superior to the 700 in that it has a bigger LCD touch screen (7.8” touch panel with 3.5” tilt LCD, compared to 2.5” tilt LCD), twice the dpi (4800 compared to 2400), available fax function (in black and white or color), automatic document feeder, the ability to print coloring book pages made from your photos, and the ability to print stills from video clips. There’s a whole other list of features they both boast:

Of course, the most important function of a printer is the print quality, right? The Epson does it right. If you’ve been looking for a printer to print out high-quality photos on glossy or matte photo paper, then this could very well be exactly what you need. In addition to its printing chops, the Artisan 800 has the ability to print directly from a memory card, and gives you a ton of photo-editing features right on the touch screen, so you can bypass the computer altogether if you prefer.
On top of all that technology goodness, the Epson Artisan 800 was “designed to conform to Energy Star® standards for power efficiency” and has built-in capability to do two-sided printing to conserve paper.
I know what you’re thinking: There has to be a down side, right? Well, there is. If you get too happy around this thing, the ink cartridges will run out before you finish whatever 100-photo project it is you were working on. It takes 6 independent color cartridges, so whenever one color runs out, you’ll need to replace it. And they can get pricey. On the other hand, though, ink cartridges have always been pricey, and it’s no different for any other printer. If what you want are high quality prints, no-fuss functionality, a multitude of capabilities, and – let’s face it – a sexy-looking piece of technology sitting on your desk, then it would be hard to beat the Epson Artisan 800.

This Epson Artisan 800 All-in-One printer has the most amazing features, not to mention very sleek and stylish in design! I researched all the specs on it and it is a dream machine, and most importantly outputs QUALITY images. I am in the market for a new printer. I homeschool and use my printer all the time. Wow, this one has way more bells and whistles then our current Epson printer. The one we have is fantastic and has lasted us a few years so far, but how neat is that wirelss function? I don’t print pictures from our current printer much because they aren’t the greatest quality, but I bet this one makes crisp, bright, super colorful pictures. I would love to use the color restoration feature! I have so many nostalgic photos from the past that are fading away right before my eyes. I have never seen this feature on a printer. I would purchase the printer for that feature alone. This seems like an amazing product.

I have seen a lot of printers this season but none as fine as this one. I fell in love with the Artisan the first time I saw it and read all of its capabilities. It is one great machine! My kids are still waiting for me to make them their own coloring pages.

Wow, my printer is a mess. I’m not sure anything I print now is legible in the least. This would be awesome.

My printer is non functioning and oh, what I wouldn’t give for a scanner, too! It would make all the difference in my business!

I could really use a new printer. It is very hard to load paper into the one I am currently using. This one looks great and I have always found Epson printers to be pretty reliable. This is a great giveaway. Thanks.
